Chillicothe Police Investigate Vandalism, Theft, and Other Incidents Reported Monday
CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — The Chillicothe Police Department responded to several calls for service Monday, including investigations involving alleged vandalism, theft, a warrant service and other incidents, according to the department’s daily media report.
The report, released Tuesday morning, details incidents officers handled throughout July 13, 2026.
Officers responded shortly after 1:25 p.m. to the 100 block of East Second Street regarding a vandalism complaint involving property used for business purposes with an estimated value of $500 or more. A report was completed, and the case remains under review.
At approximately 2:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to the police department lobby on North Paint Street regarding a possible sex offense. The investigation is ongoing, according to the report.
Police also conducted a welfare check around 2:54 p.m. at 138 Marietta Road, Suite B. The department said the investigation remains active.
Around 3:30 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on North Bridge Street involving a driver with a suspended license. A citation was issued, according to the report.
Later in the afternoon, officers responded to the Ross County Jail to serve a warrant.
At approximately 5:50 p.m., police received a report regarding a theft investigation involving a person who contacted officers by phone from 28 North Paint Street. The investigation remains ongoing.
The Chillicothe Police Department did not release additional details regarding the open investigations.
