Pickaway County Sheriff's Office Swears in New Deputy, Announces Promotions

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office has announced the addition of a new deputy and the promotion of two members of its Corrections Division.

Deputy Cathel Joseph Cathel recently joined the sheriff's office after graduating from Columbus State Community College with a degree in criminal justice. He also completed training at the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy.

The agency also announced the promotion of Kyle Auflick to the rank of sergeant. Auflick has served in the Sheriff's Office Corrections Division since 2006.

Alec Davis was promoted to the rank of corporal. Davis has been with the Corrections Division since 2021.

Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey announced the personnel changes this week.
