No Injuries Reported After Trash Truck Catches Fire in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — No injuries were reported Tuesday after a trash truck caught fire in the Yaples Orchard area.

The incident happened earlier Tuesday, July 15, with images circulating on social media showing the city vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

The fire occurred in the Yaples Orchard area, one of Chillicothe’s more affluent residential neighborhoods. Photos shared online showed heavy flames and smoke coming from the garbage truck as emergency crews responded.

As of the time of publication, officials had not reported any injuries connected to the incident.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
